Hot summer allows you to work less

Employers must control the air temperature at the workplace.

They have to reduce the working day if the temperature exceeds the allowed limit.

It is recommended to reduce the working day by 1 hour, if the temperature is close to 28,5 degrees Celsius.  29 and 30,5 degrees will allow to reduce the working day by 2 and 4 hours respectively. The unworked time will be paid for as downtime and not less than 2/3 of salary.

If the requirements for air temperature are not respected, employees can file a written refusal to work.
