Vaccination of foreign staff now employers’ responsibility

Vaccination of foreign staff now employers’ responsibility

Rospotrebnadzor regulations stipulate that employers are required to ensure that all foreign employees are vaccinated against measles by December 31, 2019. The rule concerns foreigners who have not had the disease, have not been vaccinated before, or do not have such information.

Planned fines to be levied for non-vaccinated employees are as planned:

1) for officials - from 500 to 1 000 rubles;

2) legal entities - from 10 000 to 20 000 rubles or suspension of activities for up to 90 days.

To avoid a fine, we recommend ensuring that your foreign employees receive measles vaccinations. If an employee refuses the vaccination, the employer must confirm the refusal in writing.
