Softer penalties for businesses

The Russian government has prepared draft amendments to the Administrative Offences Code, which will soften the penalties for businesses.

First-time offenders will be issued warnings instead of fines. And if a fine is imposed, a company paying on time, will be allowed to pay half of the imposed amount. Another important innovation is the possibility to postpone and administrative penalty for up to six months.
