The Russian Central Bank Eases Restrictions on Money Transfers

The Bank of Russia has established new thresholds for money transfers abroad for individuals, for 6 months.

For residents, non-residents from countries that do not support sanctions against Russia, as well as non-residents working under employment contracts, the following rules apply:

transfers not exceeding 10K US dollars to private individuals’ accounts abroad
transfers not exceeding 5K US dollars through money transfer services

Transfers abroad from bank accounts of non-residents from “unfriendly countries” without employment in Russia have been suspended.
