Digital state services platform for foreigners to be developed

The Russian Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications plans to develop a digital services platform for foreign citizens, an analogue of Gosuslugi - the successful portal that provides Russian citizens with administrative services online, through a website or a mobile application.

Migrants will be able to find out up-to-date information on how to obtain certain services, where to turn for help in an emergency and more.

It is assumed that the development of the platform will take at least a year. The main difficulty will be to bring data to a single form and ensure correct exchange between existing information systems.

In the context of the National Project for Digitalization, a major development policy pushed by President Putin, Russian government bodies are massively investing in the digitalization of their services. Leading the digitalization effort is Russia's Federal Tax Services which was named the Financial Times as futuristic.
