From January 1, 2021, all regions of Russia will switch to direct payments of social benefits from the Social Insurance Fund (FSS).
Employers, as before, will be required to pay employees the first 3 days of sick leave, all other payments will be transferred directly from the Fund to MIR cards.
Also, from 2021, companies will not be able to offset previously paid benefits against insurance premiums, but the possibility to reimburse them from the FSS will remain.
