Reduction of import duties on thousand goods

The Russian government prepares to reduce or cancel import duties for thousand goods. Already earlier, we wrote, that the customs duties on food, medicines, essential goods, raw materials and specific components were cancelled for six months.

The second package includes about a thousand positions. The ministries of Industry and Trade, Agriculture, Economic Development as well as other agencies are discussing the exact list of goods for which custom duties will be reduced or cancelled.

According to the Federal Customs Service, these benefits represent about 20-40% of the total amount of accrued customs duties.
